Help our neighbors! September is Hunger Action Month. The Eastern Illinois Food Bank relates it is delivering twice what it did last year. Our UUCUC pantries have similar statistics. Our pantries are emptied every day. We desperately need donations. Check the Hub Table for lists of needed items. In addition to tuna and canned chicken, which are always emptied first, we can use hygiene products, toothbrushes, toilet paper, and snacks.

Many of our local grocery stores will deliver to the church. Each store has a different process for ordering, so check with them. Before having a delivery sent to the church, you must work with Pat Nolan to ensure a memebr of Food Justice will be there to recieve and put away the order. Please email her HERE before sending your order to deliver at the church, otherwise the items may very well go missing or be eaten by squirrels. Tell them to deliver to Unitarian Universalist Church, 308 W. Green St., Urbana. Add note: “Deliver to South door by the parking lot.”
